About Our Director,
Tancey Bosna
Chesapeake
Harmony Chorus Director, Tancey Bosna
Tancey Bosna has music in her blood. She
admits to starting out on the “Ted Mack Amateur Hour”
as a child and she’s been singing ever since. Her affiliation
with Sweet Adelines began in the 60's when she and three sisters
formed a barbershop harmony quartet called the “Busy
Bees.”
Although the director of Chesapeake Harmony
Chorus for less than two years, under her astute guidance
and immeasurable talent and at their very first competition
together, the chorus won the coveted "Most Improved"
award, bettering their previous score by 93 points! This dedicated
woman drives two hours one way from Philadelphia to Millersville
for weekly Wednesday night rehearsals in Baldwin Hall. She
is also a member of Greater Harrisburg Chorus and sings with
her sister, Claire, in a newly formed quartet called "The
Fource".
Ms. Bosna performed with “TNT”, a regional award
winning quartet, for several years. “I’ll probably
always sing in a quartet," said Bosna. "My mom told
me to.” Coming from a family of "barbershoppers"
and being one of eleven children, she does what she's told!
